Writing As A Recursive Process
Essay One: My rough draft to final draft definitely had lots of changes. I was thankful to have the help to Lexi and Maddie in editing my essay, and they to gave some very helpful feedback. In my rough draft my essays biggest concern was the flow of the essay and making sure all my ideas made sense. I wanted to make sure I had a well organized and well structured essay. I did have this, what I needed to work more on was developing a stronger conclusion, and expanding even more on present ideas in the essay. You will see the green highlighted areas in my final draft, in those areas I added comments of what changed from rough draft to final draft. I didn’t find myself removing information, I just found myself adding more information and expanding more off of what I already had written. I also went back and fixed some simple grammatical things in addition to items necessary for writing an MLA formatted paper, such as the header.
Rough Draft:
Final Draft :
I liked my writing process and thought I was successful with it. My blog posts were my “notes” that I took which then lead to my rough draft. See all my links posted above rough draft and final draft which is is highlighted.
Essay Two: I still find myself being growing and becoming even more successful with my writing process. My rough to final drafts are very different. I take in to account my peers edits, in addition to working with my writing tutor to make additions, deletions, and changes where needed. One major difference I found from my rough to final draft in Essay two was making sure that I really adding in the “vivid description” element, making sure the readers could almost picture in their head what I was trying to explain.
